The router is a 4-port ethernet hub, it also serves as my gateway to the internet. route add -net 192.168.1.0 dev eth0 give me: siocaddrt: invalid argument I tried it slightly different route add -net 192.168.1.0 eth0: sioacaddrt: invalid argument > You really have an IRQ 18? Is that because of SMP? > I got no clue. I didnt enter any info about IRQs, so what ever info is there, is what RH auto-detected. > > Are you sure nothing else has that 192.168.1.10 address? > yup. there are only 2 desktops on the LAN, occasionally 2 laptops. The router takes up 192.168.1.1, that leaves everything past 192.168.1.6 or so completely free.
