tlug: Missing modversions.h ?

I'm trying to install VMWare (unfortunately, there is something I need
to run that only exists for TOOS or - in a flaky version - Solaris),
and during the install it has to rejigger itself to run with my 
kernel (2.2.10), which it starts to do but winds up like this:

I downloaded the kernel source from kernel.org in case that file just 
somehow came up missing in my RPM, but it doesn't appear to be in there
either.  The only instance of a file like that seems to be this one:

usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/i386-linux-thread/linux/modversions.ph

Suggestions welcome.
