I'm trying to install VMWare (unfortunately, there is something I need to run that only exists for TOOS or - in a flaky version - Solaris), and during the install it has to rejigger itself to run with my kernel (2.2.10), which it starts to do but winds up like this: --- None of VMware's pre-built vmmon modules is suitable for your running kernel. Doyou want this script to try to build the vmmon module for your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)? [yes] What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] Extracting the sources of the vmmon module. Execution aborted. --- I downloaded the kernel source from kernel.org in case that file just somehow came up missing in my RPM, but it doesn't appear to be in there either. The only instance of a file like that seems to be this one: usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/i386-linux-thread/linux/modversions.ph Suggestions welcome.
