This should be very simple. Just couldnt find much on this in the man pages. Red Hat 6.2 comes configured to use the Del key to erase characters following the cursor and the Backspace to erase before it. I just upgraded to Gnome 1.2.something and now they both act as backspace. This can probably be done with xmodmap. I just dont know how. A.Sajjad Zaidi
