RE: about ADSL

Technically its a walk in the park. You can use a variety of NAT solutions despite the nature of the service. Now legally? I'm not sure about that... The fact is they would almost definitely not find out.

Subject: about ADSL

It's not linux-related, but I have seen this topic in the list before, so
there goes my questions.

Osaka Metallic is offering a service called Home1600, in which you pay 5700
¥/month and you get 1.6Mbps/288kbps, and 1 global dynamically-assigned IP
address. In the FAQ included in their site, they say that using this
service it is only possible to connect 1 PC.

I have read in DOS/V Magazine (2001/1/15 issue) that using a "broadband
router," (I suppose one of those boxes that say "router for CATV/xDSL") you
can connect more than one PC. Two questions: 1) Is it technically possible?
2) Is it "legally" possible?

Thanks in advance

Hector
