My 0.02$: I recently installed Suse 7.0 on my Dell. Just for fun I tried the point-and-click installation program they call Yast2. (Figured I could always redo it later.) Everything (X, sound, network etc.) work right out of the box. Suse is also a fairly large distro with lots of toys included on their 6(!) CDs. I know that some peolpe at work installed RH 6.? on their Dell laptops but they had do do a lot of stuff to get the network up and running and I don't think they even bothered about the sound. Have fun. /Fredric
