Hi all, Thank you to write very interesting articles everyday. I'm happy to read them. Today, I want to ask all of you to give me a suggestion. I am now doing a signature-collecting campaign. I think that some of you know about it: http://www.fakeroot.net/ps2linux/ or http://www.peanuts.gr.jp/pslinux/ As Oliver and I wrote on those page, there is a rumor that PlayStation2 can run Linux on it, and some of my friends (close to Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.) wants to know how many people are interested in it. It has already passed 2 weeks and half, the number of the signatures on English sites (1,300) are very small, compared with Japanese site (3,500). Are you interested ? I think that if PS2 Linux will be released, it is very valuable thing. It has output port for TV by default, DVD decoder inside. But if the people who wants to use it on PS2 are too few, SCE will not release its Linux because of the cost. I want to gather the signatures from the world, up to 10,000 signatures. 10,000 is rather small number compared with the amount of users both of PS2 and Linux, isn't it. The problem is that I am belonging Japanese Linux community mostly exept here. So I want to get your suggestion about the appropreate place to notify the campaign. Any comment? PS. Of course I am very happy if most of the people here will sign. :-) == Money is one of the minimum conditions to do anything, but... ======= Shin MICHIMUKO <smitimko@example.com> http://www.peanuts.gr.jp/ ============================================ Freedom is everything. ====
