Well, I've got henkan working with canna in kterm. In fact, it was probably working all along; I was just being really stupid and forgetting to press the CTRL key with the "kanji" key. Doh! Emacs doesn't require the CTRL key for some reason, and since that's what I use 99% of the time with Japanese I'd forgotten the need for the CTRL key in kterm. Yes, I feel really stupid. Looks like it's just you Chris for whom it doesn't work. Neil.
