most distros come with this set up in automount now... oh, wait, redhat is doing some bollocksy thing with this... looks like they actually added their own FSTAB option to support their "kudzu" hack. definitely non-portable. Probably easiest thing for you to do is to create an /etc/fstab entry so you can just "mount /mnt/cdrom" ----------------------------------------------------- Scott M.
