Flets ADSL is the service ntt-east provides. I have to only buy or rent the modem from them. They say the cdrom they provide with the modem includes Linux support. The modem is ethernet modem which utilizes pppoe. I plan to use Infosphere for isp. They provide static ip address of 1 or 8. There are broadband router they(Infosphere) recommend. But small number of them supports 8 ip address. So I want to use old notebook for broadband linux router that can do ip address translation for my liking. But, I don't know how.
