OK, the first XyWrite was for MS-DOS ver. 1.1 and below. I've never used a version of XyWrite or MS-DOS that was that old. Thanks for the link to the article on Xy, which is pretty fair; anyone here who's interested in more on it might care for http://www.escape.com/%7Eyesss/_xywhat.htm (what is XyWrite?) http://www.escape.com/%7Eyesss/_linuxyw.htm (Xy under RH 5.2 and dosemu) http://www.serve.com/xywwweb/xylite.shtml (how to get a barebones Xy without payment) and more commentary: http://prospect.org/columns/kuttner/bk990829.html (XyWrite is good) http://www.well.com/conf/media/SF_Free_Press/nov7/_jon_carroll.html (XyWrite is an evil tool of capitalism [I'm not making this up]) http://www.escape.com/%7Eyesss/_xyq.htm (the end of the line for XyWrite) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Peter "no, actually my other OS is PalmOS" Evans peter@example.com
