Bi lingual stuff will be handled by someone, but... your schedule in Japan seems a bit (no, ENORMOUSLY) too ambitious, especially 9/11. It'll take more than an hour from Ginza to Hino/Takahata Fudo just for the train ride; add another 30 minutes to find your way around. You're only going to have 30 minutes in Ginza, and at 9:00am, Almost everything in Ginza is closed. Ginza is an afternoon to night time place. Imperial palace itself is big, I don't know if you'll manage to do it in 1.5 hours (unless you plan to just "look" from outside). 9/12 is also a problem. You'll goto Yokohama, come back to Tokyo for the interview, and then head back to Kamakura... doable, but very exhausting. And... 9/13 Nikko day trip... utterly impossible, unless you plan to join one of those super touch-and-go group tours (maybe not even that!) 9/10 is also pretty... bad. I don't know Koike Sanso whatever, but Ichikawa is in between Narita Airport and Ueno. Consider nearly an hour to get there. So, even if you spend only a minutes at the hotel, you're still VERY tight. Ichikawa Coffee shop seems to be within Tokyo, which means you'll be heading back from Chiba again. And then you'll do Akihabara at 1930 in the evening? Don't. Almost everything is closed at that time. Akihabara is a day time to early evening (preferrably weekend) place, 4 to 7 pm being the best time. And then go to Shinjuku 2030? You'll only be in Akihabara for 15 minutes! This is crazy, and undoable unless you have precise knowledge of Tokyo geography and transportation, and even then, only if you can move on a split second schedule at an unexhausting pace. Bear in mind that Tokyo is huge. Arriving at Shinjuku (or Akihabara or whereever) STATION is one thing, but getting to your destination from the station is quite another! My suggestion; drop Nikko. On 9/13, if you are an early riser, try the Tsukiji food market(optional), and then do imperial palace (AM), Ginza (Noon to afternoon, maybe have lunch), and then Akihabara (late afternoon), and if you have the energy, go to Shibuya or Roppongi to see the nightlife (and dinner). On 9/11, look around Ueno a bit (it's pretty interesting), then head to Hino (it'll take time), and do your people visiting for the whole afternoon. Come back to Ueno, take a look at the Ameya Yokocho there (pretty interesting shopping district that grew out of the post war black market). That's a full day. Maybe sneak off to Ginza to see the nightlife there... but only if you have the energy. On 9/10, I suggest you drop that International division, or you move the coffee shop to some other time. And don't do Akihabara on that day. 9/12 is problematic. Why don't you skip Yokohama, unless you really love ports. do the interview in the morning or whereever, and then if you feel like it, get to Kamakura. But kamakura is a place where you enjoy the stroll; it's not a touch and go place, so if you don't have the time, skip it. If you're into sight seeing stuff, I suggest you do the boat ride up the river to Asakusa. Hope this helps.... -- Always On My Own YAMAGATA Hiroo <hiyori13@example.com>
