"inadvisable" that was :-) There's never any reason to delete your old kernel. I always keep my last known working kernel, even after I've moved to a new one. Do you have a Red Hat CD? If you do, install the binary kernel RPM from that and boot it. Then you can get the kernel sources your need. Jonathan
