The man page for syslinux says that you get a little better coverage when
using the boot floppy you create as a boot image in a bootable El Torito CD if
you use the "-s" option ("-s" stands for both "stupid" and "slow" according to
the man page).  I built the very first version of the backup thingme CD using
syslinux -s.  It really __is__ slow, and when I discovered that a CD built
without it would boot on every machine in my office, I abandoned it.

Maybe try reassembling the RedHat CD with that option and see what happens.

(Don't you just love it when people make suggestions that promise to chew up
time with no promise of a positive result?)
