Hello !
Setting up ADSL service with a Linux box...
I am trying to connect my linux box :
- ADSL service
- rp-pppoe V.3.3 software
- Asahi-net Provider
My problem is:
[...]
Remote message : Authentication failure
CHAP Authentication failed
[...]
Well,
1. I can see the Ethernet interface.
2. I not assign an IP address to the Ethernet card.
3. I have the right secret in /etc/ppp/pap-secrets and /etc/ppp/chap-secrets.
4. Also, /etc/ppp/options is empty.
I ask ......
Asahi-net provider may be using non-standard PPPoE frames ?
or require something special ?
With windoze I have not problem, (NTT software install).
Some experience... ?
Thanks,
Jose Yamamoto
