Damn. You caught me there. I was so fired up by the assault on Jim
Breen's beloved Redhat that I lost my concentration. Actually, I
qualified it with "in my opinion" if you want to get really technical. ;)
What I meant to say and didn't, in my moment of passion, was that I have
not encountered the dependency cycles with RPM that I have run into with
dpkg at times. I actually like the RPM dependency model better for its
simplicity. True, I know a bit more about what the *real* deps are than
the average user, and I am not afraid to use --nodeps when I know I am
right.

I do not care too much about the defaults, as my first actions after an
install are to tighten down the box. Having to rpm -e sendmail is not
something that concerns me overly.
