well, ideally, cheap to start with. right now speed and reliability
aren't so important. but they will be down the road, at which point 
i'd be willing to pay. it would be great if someplace offered cheap
crappy co-lo and an upgrade path all the way up to super-deluxe co-lo
payable in pints of blood.

these are good alternatives, but don't scale up well. it is just 
one linux box now but has the potential to expand into a full-scale
data center...it would be nice if i didn't have to keep finding new
solutions as my needs grew.
