I'm no good with sed and I am sure someone will quickly give a really good 
awk script but ...

assuming there are no spaces in any of your fields

how about:

s/(.*) (.*) (.*) (.*) (.*) (.*) (.*) (.*) (.*)(.*) /\1 \2 \3 \4 \5 \6 \7 \8 
70\10
