Hello,

I've been off the list for a while - hopefully everyone is still holding
their own and noone minds if I post a job opportunity (or two).

My company has contracted with a major electronics firm to participate in
development of audio-visual software (movie players, etc.) for FOMA mobile
phones. We have been requested to insert a 3-man team to work together with
our client's own people on this project, which is expected to last 18 to 24
months. We have one position filled and are looking to fill two more.
Requirements are at least 2 years of C++ development experience. Preference
would be given to those with experience most closely matching the job
requirements, but any C++ development experience will be considered. The
platform for development on this project will be Symbian Linux. Previous
experience with Symbian is not required, as the whole team is learning it
from the ground up as they go. Spoken Japanese language skills are also
required - English ability is not considered a particular asset in this
case. Compensation will be between 3.5 and 6 million yen per year depending
on experience. Both positions are full-time; the location is in Kawasaki.
There is a very high possibility of continued employment in a stable
environment after conclusion of the initial project. We are looking to
