I guess nothing.  It has already happened at some scale.  Apple, for 
example, uses FreeBSD at the core of its OS, and KDE's KHTML in its 
Safari.  Both FreeBSD and KDE seem to be happy with that.  Sun seems 
working with Gnome.  There are many other big names to follow.
