Hello all. Sorry for the newbie-iggernant question, but I'll curtail the
preamble:
My monitor was starting to get a bit flaky when I used it with another
(Win2k) system. I recently attached it to my brand new SuSE 8.2 system
and it's deteriorating. I'm pretty certain that this is no fault of any
misconfiguration in SuSE 8.2.
Anyway, I want to change it, and fast. What's the safe way to do this?
Close down the system, of course, and then take the SuSE option to start
up in "Linux safe" mode (or similar name), and then? How can I get into
the configuration system?
I admit to being a total Linux ignoramus, but I have tried to RTFM; this
assumes that you're setting up a system for the first time -- or perhaps
I'm missing something.
Please answer quickly, while I'm still capable of reading your response.
(I'm only half joking; this monitor seems about to explode; it's scary.)
Sorry if I'm veering offtopic, but recommendations (and keepawayfroms)
for unpretentious "17 inch" TFT monitors would be welcome too.
