I was trying to see if maybe Japanese works better in different apps under
KDE than it does in Gnome. But I can't start up KDE. When it first starts, a
little, plain, X-window-like error dialog appears that says "Could not start
kdeinit".
Then things spin about a bit and I am back at the login screen. If I change
my session to Gnome I can get in again. But I can't run KDE mail. Probably
because there is something wrong with KDE.
I reinstalled all the KDE packages (30 in all) from the Redhat 9.0 CD-ROM,
but that didn't change anything.
Anybody else have this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
doug
