Yes, down in Hiroshima. (Also here in the US as well). Down in Hiroshima in that big shoppping area, right at one end of it there was a shop selling notebooks without an O/S--WinXP was about an extra $200 IIRC (this was a year ago June). In the US, Walmart has some, as well as some other higher quality companies. Some will sell them with no O/S, some with Mandrake or another more newcomer friendly version of Linux.
