"hobbyists" and "enthusiasts" means there is no support available for it. (because typically "hobbyists" and "enthusiasts" do not need support) but if you did not pay for redhat before, you did not get support for redhat either! if you want support you will have to pay for it, on any distro. if you do not want to pay then you are a hobbyist. (if you can not afford to, then that's a different problem, redhat wants to make money, so don't expect them to carter to this problem) i expect fedora to be no worse than redhat was when i used it.
