Hi Charles, I solved the problem differently as I bought an PS2 adapter for the USB mouse. I admit its not a nice solution, but it works from the start and you can (worked for me) install debian (3.0) without problems. I later plan to recompile the Kernel, but no time ;-) Cheers, Dan Charles Muller wrote: >Has anyone who's done a recent install of Debian Stable or Testing >succeeded in getting a USB mouse configured in the installation process >itself (I haven't)? > >There is plenty of material out there suggesting ways to fix >this after installation (like recompiling the kernel with USB mouse support, >etc.), but it would seem that USB meeses have been around long enough >the one should not have to go to that extent. > >Chuck > >--------------------------- >Charles Muller > >Toyo Gakuen University >Faculty of Humanities >1660 Hiregasaki, Nagareyama-shi >Chiba 270-0161 JAPAN > >Web Site: Resources for East Asian Language and Thought >http://www.acmuller.net ><acmuller@example.com> > >-- >TLUG server is hosted by Open Source Development Lab Japan >http://www.osdl.jp/ > >To unsubscribe from this mailing list, >please see the instructions at <http://www.tlug.jp/list.html> > >
