I used Sarge on i386 without problems for the basic setup.
I noticed  a problem sometimes when you have 2 cdroms player, in the link
creation but it is a minor issue. Hotplug also, seems to works well. Still
there is some warning and failed in the booting process. Something like
failed to mount fat etc..., maybe some automated process looking for a fat
partition.
By the way, after X and Kde installed, I am still not able to have ALSA
working. Probably because I have both an on board sound and a creative sb
and even if  alsa-setup can setup the needed soundcard, I still find the on
board settings in the alsa config file and I don't now how to change it.
