I have no problems playing DVDs on my computers, since I use a DeCSS-enabled version of MPlayer. I prefer to watch DVDs on my television. I have decided that if I have purchased a region-locked DVD, it is ethical to make a backup copy. Furthermore, said backup copy shall be region-free. Fair use, I say. The cartels may disagree. Sod 'em. All that aside, what I really need is an MPEG stream analyser. I can write one myself in C, or modify streamdvd to work on MPEG streams as well as VOB files, but I would rather not if a stream analyser is available. Is no-one aware of such a beast? -Josh
