- Subject: [tlug] debian network ques
I just installed a new debian sarge. I've set it for a static IP after
running /etc/init.d/networking restart, it's fine but at some point it
reverts back to the dhcp IP it had earlier. Below is the interfaces file,
is there are another file I should be worried about?
tetsuo:/etc/network# cat interfaces
# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
# The primary network interface
auto eth0
#iface eth0 inet dhcp
iface eth0 inet static
address 203.216.0.91
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 203.216.0.1
Thanks
Brett
