<snip gnome-compiling probs with darwinports>

So, let me ask more politely. "Does anybody know of sources for
useful independent components extracted from GNOME, avoiding
dependencies on GNOME as much as possible?"
i have to compile gnome for running one f******* program but in
remembrance on the last time when i compiled gnome with fink i do not
want to touch this topic again.
for the successful compile of the packages i needed, i started to
download the stuff which should have been enough. if something broke,
i downloaded the additional dependencies (which weren't completely
solved...whyever...).
i needed two days for the whole compiling - to get gtk with pygtk to
work...
