I think you missed my point. The password is not the ultimate information desired. Ignore the password and ignore the hard drive. The ultimate information desired could be something like: What is the secret ingredient in the formula? How many secretaries is the boss "doing"? Who is in buy-out negotiations? What is the bid and offer prices? Where is the gold hidden? Some of that information might not even be on the hard drive.
