Whatever symbols you want to use from other drivers/kernel-space, you can simply export them using: EXPORT_SYMBOL (symbol_name); You need to include linux/module.h in the files where you call EXPORT_SYMBOL. Can you provide a link to the 2.6 modem driver sources?
