I did this: 1) Imported a 4-minute wav file. 2) I found the start point I wanted by clicking in the wave display, clicking on play, stopping and clicking a little further forward or back, clicking on play again, etc., until I found exactly where I wanted the selection to start. This left a thin black line at that point and every click on Play started the song from the exact same point. 3) I clicked on the record button and as it played, both the wave display and the empty white display below were shaded as it played. I clicked on stop at the desired end point. Now - I would like to click on "Export Selection as..." but all of those (for each file formats) are grayed out, so I can't. Why is that? What do I need to do to activate that feature? Lyle
