Can't you just hit the Option key during boot-up of the Mac to be able to choose the particular partition you want to be able to boot? Or am I missing something here? If you want to boot with the CD you need to hold the 'c' button on boot-up to explicitly tell Macs to boot off the CD. I'm afraid that's about as far as much OpenFirmware knowledge goes from the top of my head though. If you've already tried that and are looking for something else, I'm not really sure myself but perhaps some of the other more Mac-knowledegable TLUGers might have some suggestions. Alain
