- Subject: [tlug] ati tv wonder/ve does not work in FC5
Hi all, I upgraded to Fedora Core 5, and my TV tuner card (ATI TV Wonder/VE) stopped working (it did perfectly in FC4). Kernel is 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 I added the following line to /etc/modprobe.conf (that made the card work in FC4): options bttv card=64 tuner=2 dmesg shows the following: bttv: driver version 0.9.16 loaded bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture bttv: Bt8xx card found (0). bttv0: Bt878 (rev 2) at 0000:00:0c.0, irq: 16, latency: 64, mmio: 0xfdffd000 bttv0: detected: ATI TV Wonder/VE [card=64], PCI subsystem ID is 1002:0003 bttv0: using: ATI TV-Wonder VE [card=64,insmod option] bttv0: gpio: en=00000000, out=00000000 in=00ffffff [init] bttv0: using tuner=2 bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA9875 @ 0xb0... not found bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA7432 @ 0x8a... not found bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA9887 @ 0x86... not found tuner 1-0060: All bytes are equal. It is not a TEA5767 tuner 1-0060: chip found @ 0xc0 (bt878 #0 [sw]) tuner 1-0060: type set to 2 (Philips NTSC (FI1236,FM1236 and compatibles)) bttv0: registered device video0 bttv0: registered device vbi0 bttv0: PLL: 28636363 => 35468950 .. ok bt878: AUDIO driver version 0.0.0 loaded bt878: Bt878 AUDIO function found (0). bt878_probe: card id=[0x31002], Unknown card. bt878: probe of 0000:00:0c.1 failed with error -22 lsmod shows bttv and bt878 loaded. I'm not completely sure but I think that in FC4 bt878 (presumably the reason of the problem) was not listed. I googled to find information about the need to add options when loading bt878, but couldn't find anything. Does anybody got a similar TV tuner working in FC5? Thanks in advance Hector
