'sup just trying out Kubuntu this week buddy? I had a copy I had downloaded
from before and a few days ago, on coming to terms with the fact that I did
not actually want to make further effort into learning how to set up Slackware, threw the disc into my well-used desktop machine.

I wondered the same thing for a while and then just picked one of the options
for the life of me I can't recall which.

After the installation finished I discovered that my keyboard was really beyond
repair. Each day it has been choosing a different subset of keys to disable.
Usually it was just the numbers. But today it decided not to respond to b,n q,
a,z. So I couldn't even log in. So I'll be falling behind you in the Kubuntu
install process. I hope you continue to share your discoveries so I can leach
a few benefits of your trials-and-errors.

By the way, if you find some way to do more of the installation over the
internet I would love to hear about it. I would like to try running Kubuntu on
my elderly notebook (some of you met it at the last nomikai) but booting from
CD is out of the question.

Cheers and good luck,
