Then maybe you're used to paying more for someone else to do the work. If 
so... and if you have time for mail order, Monarch (monarchcomputer.com) 
claims that 90% of their machines can be ordered with Linux pre-installed 
and tested. I have no experience with them but I've read several satified 
letters from LJ readers who have.

BTW, Monarch also published parts lists for their boxes. You could always 
compile a system from the parts listed one or more of their 'compatable' 
boxen instead of doing your own homework. Unless, that is, they have done 
a lot of driver collecting themselves in order to get the stuff to work.

You might also want to drop by PlatHome in Akihabara. They seem to be more 
Linux-oriented and they may be willing to put a system together to specs. 
Then at least you know the hardware will work.
