Josh> Yes you can. And you can even do it without rebooting! However, once you have a configuration that is working as desired, I recommend a full rebuild (just one last one! belt *and* suspenders as they say), and strongly recommend a reboot. In theory they're unnecessary, but I've heard of people getting weird behavior due to glitches in what the kernel thinks is available to it.
