Hi friends,
Thanks for your tips. But it hasn't worked in my case.
I tried "cdrecord -scanbus" . Though I have a CDRW drive, the command failed.
So I am thinking whether it is possible to copy the files to the Windows XP partition of my laptop (Laptop has dual booting Linux-WinXP). Please let me know how I can do it. That would probably solve the issue for the time being.
Thanks in advance, John

Type: cdrecord -scanbus
Does it list your cdrw drive? If not life is harder.
But assuming it lists it, making a data CD is two steps: mkisofs: this turns your files into a big iso file cdrecord: this burns the iso file on to the disk.
Using man, or a google search on those commands, should give you enough information.
Darren
