I'd like to hear about these too even though I have no plans for changing company philosophies but these presentations might give you a starting point: http://www.galois.com/cufp/ They're mostly on functional programming in the 'real world' however in some of the slides there are some hints that are dropped regarding adopting Open Source tools have helped change the whole company's workflow: http://www.galois.com/cufp/slides/2006/YaronMinsky.pdf Perhaps some of the authors might cough up a paper if you nudge them. :-) Alain
