I will be more than willing to help establish a LUG here in Oki. There is one currently, but they only accept Japanese. On 6/6/07, Francisco Sarmiento III <francis.sarmiento3@example.com> wrote:Hello! Thanks Josh for replying. As a geographic reference, I wish to inform you that Okinawa is 904 miles NNE of Manila in the Philippines than that of Tokyo, Japan at 1,858 miles away NEbN from Manila. Tokyo, in fact, is more than twice the distance of Okinawa from Manila. We have initially tried to contact Okinawa LUG via its mailing list but we have not received any reply from them so we thought of emailing other Japan LUGs who would consider to help us connect to Okinawa. We will send an email in Nihonggo within the week.Hope you can help us with Okinawa, which is much nearer to Manila than Tokyo is. :)Again, thanks in getting in touch. Hope to see you all soon. With kind regards,Francis

Thanks for the info, but you might be interested to know that Manila
may well be closer to Tokyo than Okinawa is. :)
Try Googling for Okinawa-based LUGs. You may well find nothing.
Cheers,
Josh
