I don't usually bother with that. If I'm only interested in one PGC on the
DVD then I don't create a VMGM. No VMGM means that the DVD player must
simply start playing the first PGC it finds. So, you shove the DVD into the
player and lo and be hold, the movie starts with no further intervention on
your part.

Agreed 200%. The ability to batch-process directories full of stuff, or at
least to launch the process and then walk off and do something else
(without fearing a BSOD), is something that I really appreciate in the Unix
world. Just for that, I wouldn't go back to Windows for anything. Of
course, MacOS-X would be another possibility if it weren't for the fact
that the hardware is so overpriced.

Operations like burning a CD or DVD, transcoding video and processing
images are just so quick and easy on the command line, and you just don't
*need* the visual feedback once you're accustomed to working like that.
