However, it is hard to bootstrap economies of scale, which is
precisely how we are able to do so well in pricing media (books, CDs,
and DVDs) here in JP and pretty much everything back in the US. You
have to have serious volume before you have the clout to get good
pricing from the manufacturers and slice your margins razor-thin.

You can help us out by buying from Amazon even when our price is
slightly higher; I guarantee that it will be worth it in the long run,
once we get the volume to drop prices, we will. Amazon operates with
ridiculous efficiency on our retail side, as you can see if you look
at our public financials, which should be out here in JP in a week or
two (I think the SEC filing date is fast approaching).
