Some aggressive snipping had taken place there :-). I was responding to Sam's statement that indicated recruiters were often not really in the know the industry they are recruiting for (I do agree by and large with Sam though): On 7/19/07, Sam Morrison <sam@example.com> wrote: "And for what is is worth, most of the account managers really do not understand the IT applicants they are working with." And "Now I'm thinking about that maybe a lot of tech info can confuse the HR that have to understand what do I know." Having said all of that you may be an exception to the general rule that I have experienced. Most hr/recruiters/head hunters I have come across have little to no knowledge of the industry they are recruiting for. I'm not sure if this actually matters in the end but from my perspective it can be frustrating to know the person sitting across the desk from you is screening you (in or out) for a job they know little about. Sort of like trying to measure the temperature of water using a tobasco coated marshmallow - not really the right tool for the job... Regards, Keith
