Try again?" I thought I'd got it figured out now, thanks to a recent Firefox upgrade. The relevant section of my bookmarks.html now looks like this: <DT> <A HREF="http://www.aa.tufs.ac.jp/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?1MUJ%s" ADD_DATE="1140048344" LAST_VISIT="1166665788" LAST_MODIFIED="1140055462" SHORTCUTURL="jje" ICON="data:image/x-icon;base64,[...]" LAST_CHARSET="EUC-JP" ID="rdf:#$eC1vX2">WWWJDIC J->E JP (RILCAA)</A> <DD>jje Changing that LAST_CHARSET="EUC-JP" to LAST_CHARSET="UTF-8" gave me false hope... but did not work. :( I think the only thing to be done is to write a Greasemonkey script that encodes GETs to WWWJDIC correctly based on the backdoor encoding key. I'll add that to my list of stuff to do. -- Cheers, Josh
