I ordered mine online -- they are happy to ship to Japan.

I did have to return one unit once for warranty service -- slim devices 
covered the shipping cost both ways (and even sent the new unit before 
receiving the RMA'd unit).

You may be able to get a $20 discount by using 'radioio' or 'live365' as a 
promotional code.
