To be correct: "Sony uses rootkit techniques hiding files".
F-secure and McAfee detect it and say: It is malware.
Such statement should be considered fail-positive and delivers FUDs to
the users.

I agree with what is written in the URL you gave but not the article
about Sony in slashdot.
