The author of a "linux on cf-y2" page did not get the SD card reader to work: http://www.mfraenz.de/cf_y2/linuxoncf-y2.html The CF-Y5 SD card reader seems to work, however, with kernel 2.6.20 and later, according to the following websites: http://www.cs.unm.edu/~moret/CFY5.html http://davesource.com/Solutions/Linux-on-Panasonic-Y5.html I don't know how different that model is from yours, but notes on the Y5 may give you clues of how to approach the problem on the Y2 (which has fewer Linux resources online).
