Making a beeline from the "bottom" of the Marunouchi-sen platform
(i.e. the last car on the Ikebukuro-houmen) through the JR west exit
and up onto the Yamanote-sen's uchi-mawari in the morning, and then in
the evening, popping off the Yamanote-sen in the middle, diving down
the stairs, availing myself of the central west exit, accelerating
past the Odakyu food court thingy, wading perpendicularly through the
crowds coming in and out of the JR west exit, then down the stairs,
through the Marunouchi-sen turnstiles, down one more flight of stairs,
down five doors (of a 3-door train that may or may not actually be
there yet), hanging a right, darting onto the Ogikubo-houmen, and
hopefully sinking into a seat.
