I have a page with some common cups errors over at
http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/cups.html. It's a bit dated as
cups has been working welll for me lately.
It might be necessary to create a clients.conf and add the ServerName
that I mention on that page. These days, I've been using a JetDirect
so I don't know if that's still true.
Another option might be to use CUPS' own web interface rather than
Fedora's (or whatever desktop manager's) setup tool.

Oz: It's Willow, she's nearby.
Cordelia: What? You can smell her? She doesn't even wear perfume.
Oz: She's afraid.
Cordelia: Oh my God, is this some sort of residual werewolf
thing? This is very disturbing.
Oz: I really agree.
