I have not read it, but i know the message, having experienced
it myself a few times. But my question was, why doesn't the same
principles apply to general engineering? What makes software so
different?
Using more engineers makes a project slower? Check!
You always build prototypes, whether you want or not? Check!
Projects fall late by missing a deadline by a day here and there? Check!
...
I don't see that much difference.
