Just so that it goes in the list archive if anyone searches it :  DHCP
with spoofed MAC address does not do the trick. After 24 hours
(roughly not accurately timed) even with a DHCP lease I cannot access
internet anymore, (not even my first hop). It seems the home gateway
authenticates through 802.1x authorisation over wired connection with
the ONU (discovered that by sniffing packets between Home gateway and
the ONU ) , and if that authorisation doesn't come through the traffic
is blocked after a while.

I do NOT know if this traffic blocking after a while is enforced by
KDDI Hikari One (optical fiber provider) or by the ISP ( auone.net in
my case).
